OBJECTION! HOLD IT! TAKE THAT! I couldnt count how many times I heard those words come out of the court room. As the verdict was announced, I could tell that the defendent was innocent. NOT GUILTY.
"I was so close that time!" Edgeworth said.
"I know you were. I know you will get him next time." Skylar said, trying to help him unwind from another close trial with the famous Phoenix Wright.
"I just don-" He was cut short my Skylars lips pressing against his. He automaticlly calmed down and sank into the embrace of his love. Yes she loved him very much, but also that was the only way to make him calm down. She moved her lips off of his. "Do you feel better now."
"Yes." He said, wrapping her in a tight hug.
Much to there liking, Franziska was on vacation and wasnt anywhere near the office so they didnt have to hide there PDA's. People loved that Edgeworth had found happiness, so nobody would say anything, and they also thought it was sweet.
That day they walked out of the office, hand in hand. The whole way to his car, they never released eachothers hand and they didnt pay attention to anybody else but each other.
"I love you so much." Edgeworth said with a hint of sadness in his voice.
"I do to. Are you ok?" Skylar asked.
"I was trying to not tell you this untill the moment it took effect, but im being sent to germany for a couple of years."
Skylar just stood there, speachless. How? Why?
"Oh," she said and walked away.
"Skylar wait!" he yelled grabbing her arm just in time, "I dont want to leave you. I dont have a choice! I would stay if I could." he said, almost in tears just like her.
"You cant leave! I cant live a single day without you, let alone years! I wont be able to take it!" she yelled, letting the tears in her eyes roll down her cheeks.
"I cant stand being away from you either. I know while I am gone you will fall out of love with me and settle down with some other guy so why dont we just end this before its to late." Edgeworth said, also letting tears stain his cheeks.
"No. Miles no! Please! I cant live without you!"
He ignored her crys. He walked away, trying to keep his composer untill he reached his house.
She fell to the ground, sobbing. Why was he doing this? Its unlike him.

                                                    -The Next Day-
"Edgeworth, are you ready to leave?"
"No. Im not. If keeping this job means I have to hurt the only people who love me and care for me, I dont want it! I quit!" He yelled. He ran to his car and drove to her house. 'I hope im not to late.'
Skylar heard a knock on the door. The door opened to reveal Edgeworth.
"What are you doing here."
"I came to apologise. Im not going to Germany. I couldnt stand being away from you, so I quit." he said.
She stood, shocked. "You did all of that, just so you could stay with me?"
"Yes."
She ran to him and wrapped her arms around him, like he was a figure of her imagination that would dissappear at any moment. He wrapped his arms around her, deeping its meaning. "Am I forgiven?"
She looked up at him with tear filled eyes. "Yes." she said and kissed him.
